After you land in Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP), Como and Cernobbio are approximately 1 hour by car from the Airport.

By Train

Como has two train stations:

• Como Nord Lago: Reachable via Milano Cadorna. Closer to the lakefront and ferries.
• Como San Giovanni: Best reached from Milano Centrale. Taxis are available outside the station.

Trains take about an hour from either station. If you are arriving directly from the airport you can take the Malpensa Express to Milano Cadorna (~18 minutes). Then take a Trenord train to Como Nord Lago (~60 minutes). From Como Nord Lago, take a taxi to Cernobbio (~10 minutes).

Alternatively, if you are in Milan then take the regional train from Milano Centrale to Como San Giovanni (~45 minutes). From Como San Giovanni, take a taxi to Cernobbio (~10 minutes).

Train + taxi: €20–€40 depending on route.

Car Rental

If you are renting a car do note that all Non-EU license holders need an International Driving Permit to drive legally in Italy (digital copies are not accepted) and most car rental companies will not give you a car without a physical International Driving Permit.

If you do decide to rent a car and plan on driving to Villa Erba on Aug 12, please share with us the plate number so we can reserve your space at the venue parking lot.
